Stoneflies just like that last 2 years remain the #1 nymph for the Ausable river. In higher water the olive river solider found more success. But recently in normal nymphing conditions, running a WBT stonefly and size 16 orange crush has been light out in every run/pool! Both on the swing and dead drifted

The typical Ausable duo of WBT stoneflies and orange crush moved plenty of trout. But the olive river soldier moved Fish virtually every cast and some of the larger fish in the system
