I fished the Farmington on 6/28 and all I nymphed with was a WBT stonefly and a size 14 Orange Crush. 1 fish took the stone but the rest of em all came on the OC! medium deep runs and super shallow white water. This fly just doesn’t not work.
One of many fish taken from the Swift River system in mass! These fish virtually live in a petting zoo / aquarium and see thousands of fisherman right in their face every day!! Still….the winter winner has been producing in this system steadily! If you need a fly to fool the picky fish where you are fishing….grab a few of these!
The brand new Caddis Jig is doing unbelievable damage! I used it for the first time and it caught even more fish than the orange crush! In addition to the numbers…it is fooling the BIG WILD smarter trout! Super durable I had one fly last allllll day long. If they are in stock grab at least 3. They are now an absolute staple when I hit the water. This fly has been long overdue!
